Effects of Seed Subsidies on Crop Production Value in Kayseri Province
Keywords:
Seed support, safflower, chickpea, green lentil, dry beanAbstract
This study examines the effects of the current support measures on the agricultural production values of sufflower, chickpea, green lentil, and dry bean products. The project was analyzed the impact of the input support provided on the production of sufflower, chickpea, green lentil, and dry beans, which have significant production volumes across the province. The project's input support increased the orientation towards sufflower, chickpea, green lentil, and dry bean production, and producers adopted the support mechanism due to both the financing model and its contribution to the economy. A significant contribution has also been made to the development of the food and feed industry sectors in parallel with the availability of raw materials. Seed support projects have also had positive effects on sustainable product supply, the diversification of rural welfare and farm economies, the creation of a planned agricultural sector, and the sustainable management of soil, water resources, and biological diversity.
