Reviewer Guideline

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

The evaluation of all manuscripts through a Double-Blind Peer Review process directly contributes to the quality and credibility of publications. This process ensures that manuscripts are reviewed objectively and independently, thereby enhancing trust in the scholarly communication system.
The Erüsosbilder journal conducts all reviews under the principles of double-blind peer review. Reviewers cannot communicate directly with authors; all evaluations and comments must be submitted through the journal’s online editorial system. Reviewer comments on evaluation forms or full texts are transmitted to the author(s) via the editor.

In this context, reviewers evaluating manuscripts for our journal are expected to adhere to the following ethical responsibilities:

  • Accept to review only manuscripts that fall within their area of expertise.

  • Conduct evaluations with impartiality, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Inform the editorial office and decline the review if they encounter or suspect any conflict of interest during the evaluation process.

  • Respect confidentiality by destroying all reviewed materials after the evaluation process is complete. They may use the final version of the work only after it has been officially published.

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and solely based on their scholarly content; nationality, gender, religious or political beliefs, or commercial interests must not influence the review.

  • Provide evaluations in a constructive, respectful, and professional tone; hostile, defamatory, or insulting comments are strictly unacceptable.

  • Complete the review within the agreed time frame and in compliance with the ethical responsibilities outlined above.
